I'm just sayin'

a new england red sox fan is transported to south of the mason dixon line and then back north again just in time for winter. Then, back to the South. Seriously-- you'll laugh; you'll cry and then you'll cry some more. Warning: not for the faint of heart or weak of knee.

but i have good news....

i just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by moving to virginia! hard to believe that my insurance went down when i moved here, considering how every second on the road is getting me closer to a firey crash with some important person drinking a non fat half caf caramel macchiado driving a gigantic SUV, probably on their way to their job with the tobacco lobby. Who said RI drivers were the worst in the country?

in other news, it is almost time to go back to Cold Stone Creamery.

morning time

no matter what time i get to sleep, i end up waking up at 530 with the sun. note to self: get curtains on the windows.

Yesterday discovered a magical place: cold stone creamery. For those of you reading along in New England (and are older than 20 years old) it is just like Steve's Ice Cream over on Thayer Street. Except here, the staff has to sing every time you give them a tip, which i find not just mortifying, but demoralizing for the staff. My first creation: a pint of coffee with almonds, peanut butter cups and snickers bars.

Missive 1

on tuesday, everything i identify as my own, minus a bike, a dining room table, a husband and some pets all were packed into a moving truck and hurtled down interstate 95 to Virginia. I've been here four days and i don't think i've seen one gay person.
